Antelope: Fewer doe licenses in the northeast area and the bow season has been split into three
hunts with limited licenses.
Bear: The season usually begins and ends later, Oct. 15 thru Dec. 15
Bighorn Sheep: Increased to eight the number of Pecos area Rocky Mountain sheep.
The public hunt in unit 27 is two months earlier and longer from 9 to 30 days.
Deer: Bag limit is one fork antlered deer.
Elk: Responding to public concern for species and property an increase in
antlerless elk licenses has taken place.
Ibex: Number of hunts is decreased. Check new regulations
Javelina: Two new hunts including a youth hunt. Additional licenses are necessary in the hunts.
Oryx: Increased number of licenses and three new hunts
Turkey: Bag limit for the spring is reduced to one bearded bird with some area exceptions to two.
Annual general hunting and fishing license is $40.50
